Sarah has volunteered and worked with children of all ages. She currently serves as the Director of Institutional Research at St. Mark’s School in Southboro, MA, after a decade consulting for public and private schools and colleges across the country. Prior to her consulting work, she received her degree from Boston College, as one of the youngest Ph.D. graduates of the institution, and founded the Office of Assessment and Accreditation at BC’s School of Education, where she served as the inaugural Director for the office for five years. In this role, her work helped to restructure teacher preparation and licensure in Massachusetts and the national accreditation process for teacher education. Sarah is a keen researcher and collaborator who has empowered education leaders to think and act strategically, make data-informed decisions, measure a variety of latent traits (e.g., social justice), and engage their communities. Her methods of program assessment, survey design, and evaluation work have been adopted and cited across the United States and beyond. A performing artist at heart, Sarah has danced and taught ballet, including several years with Boston Ballet’s CityDance program; she has sung in many of Boston’s choirs, and is also the proud composer of her high school’s Alma mater.
